Northern Norway: An Orca Lover's Dream

Northern Norway, particularly the Troms and Finnmark region, is the premier destination for orca watching. From late October to mid-January, this area hosts the world's largest gathering of orcas, drawn by the annual herring migration. Massive schools of herring migrate into the fjords during the winter, attracting orcas that depend on herring as a primary food source. This migration creates a predictable and concentrated area where orcas can be seen hunting and feeding, often alongside humpback whales, with as many as 50-60 orcas observed simultaneously.

Our expeditions focus on swimming and freediving with orcas and other magnificent whales, such as humpback, fin, and occasionally sperm whales.

During your journey, our professional chefs will prepare delicious meals, and our experienced crew will ensure your experience is nothing short of magical. Our boats accommodate 12 guests, primarily in twin cabins. Traveling alone? No problem! We welcome many solo travelers each year, and they often leave with new friends who share their passion for orcas. Many return year after year with their newfound friends.
